In numerous energy storage technology, vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs) are widely concerned by all around the world with their advantages of long service life, capacity and power independent design [9, 10].
The construction and performance of an all-vanadium redox flow system is described. The battery employs vanadyl sulphate in sulphuric acid solution as the electrolyte, carbon felt as the electrode material, and an ion-selective membrane as the separator.

The commercial development and current economic incentives associated with energy storage using redox flow batteries (RFBs) are summarised. The analysis is focused on the all-vanadium system, which is the most studied and widely commercialised RFB.
Moreover, an all-vanadium redox flow battery already utilizes a fluid circulation circuit, making the thermal management easier. In the case of MAE, the possibilities to improve the system are broader than for the conventional electrolyte because of the electrolyte's higher thermal stability and vanadium solubility limit.
