Five key strengths of Sweden’s Smart Energy ecosystem: Renewable energy is expected to account for 80 per cent of global growth in electricity demand by 2030. Sweden is at the forefront of progress and offers a wealth of opportunities for foreign investors.
Together, this is a historic expansion of energy storage in Sweden. Energy storage allows us to store electricity when demand is low, and then reinsert it into the system when demand is high. In order for electrification to take place in a cost-efficient manner, a focus on optimized solutions is required.
At the time, Sweden's Minister of Climate and Environment, Romina Pourmokhtari, was responsible for overseeing the grid connection. In comments at the ceremony, Pourmokhtari said, ‘It is a great honour to launch the largest investment in energy storage in the Nordics, with 211 MW of electricity currently connected to the grid.
